During my 2020 Folklife Internship with the North Carolina Arts Council, I wrote five new artist profiles for the Millennial Traditional Arts Directory, which showcases young and emerging traditional artists within the state. Two of the profiles had been submitted by the artists themselves; my role was to edit them for consistency in style with the existing directory and to communicate with the artists to finalize text and photos. The remaining three profiles were built from virtual interviews I conducted with artists over Zoom.
